We love this availability console. Do you need to know if an Apple Store has the iPhone in stock? It’s as simple as an at-a-glance green light / red light indicator. This bit of knowledge keeps prospective customers happy; they know if iPhones are present and available locally. This interface keeps them interested; they can check back to see if stock is still available as the evening wears on. This data helps customers know which direction to travel in town to get the best shot at purchasing. Apple Stores will be open with iPhones tonight - from 6pm to Midnight.

The funny thing will be if there are plenty of phones available tomorrow and all of these people waited in line for nothing.

There were plenty of phones available an hour after they opened! I walked right up to an AT&T store and purchased with no wait.
